Event DetailsBring your spouse/guest and join KCQAA for a night of fun at the Argosy Casino as we recognize the winners of our Quality Awards and thank you for being a member of KCQAA!
The night will include a special non-technical talk by nationally known speaker, Randy Rice. Randy’s topic for this special event is How to Be a Quality Rock Star.

Besides an excellent meal, each person who attends will receive $5 from Argosy to use on the game of their choice. In addition, there will be door prizes as well as a cash bar. Finally, the results of the 2012 KCQAA Board of Director elections will be announced at the banquet.

Argosy Casino is located at 777 NW Argosy Parkway Riverside, MO 64150 (phone 816-746-3148)

Open reception starts at 6:00 PM. Buffet at 6:45 PM. Presentation and Awards Ceremony will start at 8:00 PM.

Presenter InformationRock stars have one thing in common – they are at the top of their game. They also are admired, sought after and endure for many years as they bring value to their fans through music that entertains people.

Software testers may seem to have nothing in common with rock stars. But in this presentation, Randy Rice shows how testers and QA professionals can learn positive lessons from rock stars to add value to their companies, become sought after in the marketplace and have an edge on 99% of the other testers competing for the same positions.

You will learn how to build a personal brand, how to find your sound or uniqueness, how to be the best at what you do, how to create a stage for yourself, how to please your audience and how to endure although the marketplace changes. Attend this session to grow in your career as a tester and become one of the 1% of testers that people see as a “software testing rock star.”
